The Telugu remake of the critically acclaimed legal drama, Pink which has been tentatively titled as SVC 40 was launched yesterday on December 12th in a low-key affair. It was already made known that Tollywood star, Pawan Kalyan would be making his comeback with this remake.This upcoming project will be helmed by Sriram Venu. And the shoot is expected to go on floors from January 2020. Bankrolled by Boney Kapoor and Dil Raju, the film will also feature Nivetha Thomas in an important role.
Taking to their social media, the makers have announced that the film will feature popular music sensation, Thaman as the music composer. They also announced that the music session has started off on a superb note.
Pink that featured Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Angad Bedi amongst others was also officially remade in Tamil titled Nerkonda Paarvai featuring Thala Ajith, Vidya Balan, Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami amongst others in pivotal roles.AR Rahman will be composing music for this magnum opus and Vaigai Puyal Vadivelu will be joining hands with Kamal Haasan for this upcoming project, which he announced during the Kamal60 event. And now, it has been revealed that multi-faceted Raghava Lawrence was also approached by Kamal to play a part in the film.
Lawrence shared this information during Rajini's birthday celebration meet with the fans. He further added that he could not accept the offer as he was busy with his upcoming film 'Kaala Bhairava'. Lawrence is currently engaged with the Hindi remake of Kanchana 2 (Laxmmi Bomb) with Akshay Kumar and he has a number of projects lined up, including the untitled ones with Lingusamy and Venkat Prabhu.
